Effective collaboration
Posted on: February 22nd, 2008In business, people are involved in a common task - to achieve the general aim. Collaborative software is the basis for computer supported cooperative work. Choosing a video conferencing service for your business requires a lot of consideration and a familiarity with the types of online collaboration software and resources for web meetings available. First of all, you must understand, what is web conferencing and why has it become integral in today’s business world. Simply stated, it is a solution that brings people together from multiple locations to share information in an interactive environment with other users over the Internet. From multi-million dollar corporations to home offices, web conferencing increases productivity by having decision makers all present in a single setting to discuss budgets, logos, campaigns, and other strategic topics.
During these conferences, ideas are generated through shared applications, such as polling and virtual whiteboards, and the web conferences usually include real-time VoIP (voice over IP) to accompany presentations with audio. Online video conferencing also includes the ability to display and interpret PowerPoint slides and documents, send text messages, and it can record a meeting session offline as well as online.
This web technology supports product development and training collaboration, and has become the replacement for face-to-face meetings among sales teams and executive boards because it saves travel costs and increases productivity. The benefits of web conferencing are far-reaching and can impact most areas of any business because this technology places crucial information in a visually appealing way at the fingertips of professionals.
In addition, web conferencing supports synergy among companies at a faster pace than before. For example, a pharmaceutical company can collaborate online with a biotechnology company when working on basic research or for conducting clinical trials. As a whole, web conferencing should be flexible, dependable, and reliable.
Ubuntu Vs Vista
Posted on: February 8th, 2008Linux or Windows? This is actually the question that came to my mind when I was looking for best online casinos it came to an idea on what operating system I will used on my next PC. First I’ve tested Ubuntu for 1 week and I’ve done all the necessary adjustment on the operating system Ubuntu to test it’s usability and how the operating system works. At first I was very convinced that the software is the one I’m looking for. But after few more days, I realized that I need to update lots of software so that the operating system will work the way I’ve wanted to be.
Windows Vista is also one reliable operating system. But because it requires faster computers to be able to use the software properly, I think Ubuntu still has an edge on Windows Vista. But I would rather use Windows XP rather than Ubuntu because XP is still the best choice for an expert and intermediate pc users.

I want to buy this laptop if ever there would be more mac user will switch to MacBook Lite. I’ve already compare prices from different website and I’m thinking of buying online soon.
I’m a Microsoft user but with these innovative technology from Apple encourages me to switch to Apple. My sister was really amazed when I told her that the new MacBook can fit into an envelope. Its size is just like a regular notebook. The only problem that I think I will encounter is I have to bring an external CD drive because I’ve read that it has no built in CD/DVD drives. I’ll read more reviews about the MacBook first and I will tell you my points of view on this laptop. Steve Jobs is making a good job on giving us a innovative technolgy
Asus Eee PC 701
Posted on: January 11th, 2008
This is the latest laptop that will soon hit the market and probably get sold out. Asus Eee PC 701 performs the basic functions of a computer and it’s quite cheap that even a regular student can buy. The laptop price starts at $200 and one thing that really caught my sisters eye is because of it’s size. It’s size is 7-inch only that you can carry on all occasion. I’ll probably buy these mini-laptop because I will be using it when I go to school this year. I’m planning to enroll at http://www.iadtschaumburg.com/ to study Visual Communications.
Probably this is the best laptop for student right now. Because students needs only a website that performs basic functions portable, and ofcourse must be cheap price. My sister want me to help her buy that laptop by using my credit card. Unfortunately I cannot help her because I’ve already reached the limit of my credit limit. I’ll see few review first before buying this mini-laptop. I’ll give you an update on this in my future blog post.

PC Upgrade
Posted on: November 24th, 2007My sister asked me to help her buy her a new personal computer for her work. And she told me that she only have limited budget. She even asked me to buy refurbished PC but I say no to her because it’s not wise to buy refurbished PC because most of the time this PC cannot last that long in terms of it’s parts.
I looked for a good PC parts in the internet. Here are the parts that I’m eyeing to buy for my sister. Intel Pentium Core Duo 1.66 ghz, 1GB DDRAM, 120 GB HD and 512 MB Video Card. I was thinking of buying an External Video Card because I would like to borrow her video card whenever I’m playing high resolution games. Also using an external video card can help display the screen of my laptop directly to our widescreen display. I wanted this gadget because whenever I want to watch movies. I was thinking of upgrading my PC but I have some other plans this year. And I’m saving my money for my other business venture.
I might upgrade my PC next year. My target PC specs are Intel® Core™2 Quad and a 4GB RAM. For now this is my dream PC and I’ll update you on my dream PC specs on my next blog.
Hard Disk or Thumb Drive
Posted on: September 16th, 2007Windows Vista Experience
Posted on: August 22nd, 2007Just bought my laptop. It’s an ASUS A8FM. And just bought also a Windows Vista. For almost 6 hours now, I can say that Windows Vista rules! But not sure on how long I will be happy with these. So far the interface is quite satisfying. I’ve bought a Windows Vista Basic Edition BTW. The only problem I have is the speed. While browsing an online credit card processing website in my FireFox Browser and simultaneously listening to Windows Media Player 11, I have experienced a bit of slow down. My processor is a Intel Centrino Core 2 Duo which I think one of the best processor right now. I have already a 1GB of DDR2 RAM.
Right now, I would stick on Windows Vista but I’m planning to switch to Windows XP Home Edition if I still experienced this slowness. What I love in my Windows Vista is the sidebar features where you can add different application on it like RSS feeds, Clock, PC temperature and other cool stuff. I would recommend Windows Vista for high power PC but for Pentium 4 processor it’s not recommended. I”ll update this blog on my future experience on my Windows Vista.
